RItes OF PASSAGEOffering a rich ensemble of story-telling, ritual and ceremony, Stev develops programs to suit the individual or group. A founder of Menergy in Victoria, he specialises in men's work.
Rites of Passage refers to life's major transitions ~ often from child to teenager, to adult, to mid-lifer, to eldership. It also includes important occasions like marriage, divorce, birth and death, a graduation or completion of a course. It is the saying goodbye to a chapter of life that we have outgrown and welcoming in the energies and qualities of the new life. Indigenous cultures have practiced Rites of Passage for millennia. Rites of Passage can be practiced in a ritual or ceremonial form or can be practiced travelling (eg. Camino trail in Spain). This travel can be from a familiar place to a new one and act as a metaphor and an actual experience. Rites of Passage may involve drumming, music, dance and celebration often with a central fire, water rituals and earth honouring, while allowing our dreams a space to take flight. Rites of Passage can be as simple as someone needing to ‘let go’, of something that is holding them back, whether it be a person, place, object or situation. Stev enables people to move on in a safe sacred space, onto the next chapter of life. Stev works with individuals, families and groups. |
